Can you really learn bass guitar in just 15 minutes a day?
When I first started out on bass I really struggled to get anywhere. I use to just pick up my bass guitar and try and play a few things but it was really tough.
Trying to fret notes properly and get them to sound without buzzing was a nightmare.
I can remember playing for just a few minutes and the tips of my fingers where red and sore. I started to think that perhaps I wasn’t cut out to learn bass guitar after all.
Watching amazing bass players inspired me to get started playing bass but once I had one I just felt rubbish compared to them.
It wasn’t until later that I realised that learning bass guitar, or any instrument is not a contest. All you have to worry about is where you’re at and how much better you are today compared to yesterday.
One day I decided to get serious and really tried my hardest to learn bass. I didn’t have hours everyday to practise like they tell you to. I then discovered something that changed the way I practised bass forever.
“Practise doesn’t make perfect. Perfect practise makes perfect.”
I’m not sure who first said that but think about it for a minute…
I’m sure you have heard that you have to “practise, practise, practise” if you want to learn bass guitar. Well I think that’s rubbish.
If you are practising using slow methods of learning or even learning the wrong things then you can practise till you’re blue in the face and you won’t progress much.
So like I was saying… I didn’t have hours to practise everyday and I then realised I didn’t need to. I just needed to find the few key areas and focus on those for a few minutes each day.
I discovered that there are 7 of these vital areas of bass playing that you need to learn to get great results in a short amount of time.
Over the past 5 years I have been researching, tweaking and improving my system to learn bass in just 15 minutes a day.
One of the biggest things I found the really works well is something I call “practise stacking”. This allows you to cover lots of different things all at the same time. This can save you hours and allow you to get quick results.
It has really helped me out and I think it will help you with your playing.

I really hope it helps you out because I know how difficult it can be when you don’t know what to do.
